Sloppy Joe "Pie"

I wanted Sloppy Joe tonight.  Every time I make it though, my oldest cries about it falling out of the bun and wanting a fork.  Last night I was thinking about making a Chicken Pot Pie, and it turned into Sloppy Joe Pie somehow.  Okay, I have Pillsbury Grands, I can do this.

Start peeling each individual part into 3 or 4 pieces.  Spread all over the bottom of a pie pan.  Some up the walls as well.  Set the oven temperature on 350.  Cut the box top out for the local school.

Put the "pie crust" into the oven while it's heating up.  Just about 10 minutes depending on your oven.  Not too much that it will burn later when it goes back in, but not 4 or 5 minutes either.  You don't wanna eat goo.  Cook the hamburger meat while it is cooking in the oven and when it's ready add the sloppy part.

Pull it out of the oven and add the sloppy joe.  Take the already peeled pieces of whatever Pillsbury you picked and add it to the remainder side tops and add shredded cheese.  Put the "crust" on the top and spread it around.

Check on the baby who happened to fall asleep in the living room because it got scary quiet in the house.

Bring the finished Sloppy Joe Pie out of the oven after about 10 minutes depending on your oven (never turn the oven off and it will be nice and ready to go by the time you are finished putting the top on) and let it sit for a little bit to cool off.  Cut it and serve it WITH A FORK.

No more complaining about a messy sloppy joe, yet he eats it with his hands.  Yes, I know all the irony.

You can make individual pockets too!  Use muffin pans and do the same thing!
