Butterfly Babies- in the works

OoaK Twins

Forgot to post these babies!
These were my attempt at a full sculpt ooak baby.  One boy and one girl.  I didn't realize the backs of them would go flat until I baked them and they came out that way.  Of course adding a little clay to them to round them out after baking the first time didn't look right.  I researched and found that if I put them on poly-fil they wouldn't go flat.  That's when I made the fetal position baby and it came out all round and no flat parts.  Just wanted to add these to show more things I was working on.  They helped with learning, and the rest I'm hoping will come out great.  :-)

OoaK Newborn

Look who was just born!  Without making the head into a cone, I only slightly shaped it to look as though they just came through the birth canal.  The hair is painted on to give them a wet look, and the body looks as though it has mucas on it in certain spots.  They are still used to their fetal position inside mama, so in a sense of security they curled themself back up.  The way the feet ended up laying, you cannot tell if it is a boy or a girl.  I think it's great because it can be either.  Again, this baby is not perfect, but I enjoyed making them look like a newborn.  Some photos have the flash and some don't so one could try to capture certain things the other couldn't.
